Hello, I’m Claire, and I’m so glad you’re here! Having spent the past two decades homeschooling my five incredible children, they have done the darnedest thing, and grown up!
The past ten years of their lives I have captured on my homeschool website, Angelicscalliwags Homeschool.
However, as they have grown older, I have less homeschool stuff to share and more time to pursue some of my own interests clean the house.
I love being a stay-at-home wife and mum. I’m not terribly good at it, but I love it with every little bit of my heart. It seems to me to be the natural thing to write about now.
There are seven of us squeezed into our tiny, 200 year old English cottage. This means there are seven people eating us out of house and home, seven people making a mockery of my need for some peace and quiet and seven people whose possessions seem to have nowhere else to go but the floor.
I am often found flapping about in the kitchen whilst trying to please the hoards with meat heavy, gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian cooking (all at the same time but not for the same person). With a memory like a proverbial sieve, it is a miracle any of us get to the end of the day alive, let alone fed, clothed and with hair which is brushed.
It is highly doubtful that anything I write about will be inspirational. I possess dubious homemaking skills, questionable culinary abilities and I just have to look at a plant and it visibly withers.
Some might say I’m enthusiastic. Enthusiastically inept, but enthusiastic none the less.
Regardless, I’d love it if you wanted to join me on my (mis)adventures.
